I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms were beautifully decorated and fitted to a very high specification, making me feel like I was in a 4-star UK hotel. The service was outstanding, with the staff going out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for exploring the Forest of Dean and the surrounding areas, offering easy access to walking routes and charming pubs. The dining experience was delightful, especially the tailor-made breakfasts. Overall, a wonderful stay with great value for money.

My stay at the hotel was delightful. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and cozy with a view of the village cricket field where I could enjoy watching a match on Saturday teatime. However, the rooms were always a bit cold in the breakfast room. The service was incredible, with friendly and knowledgeable staff, though there seemed to be a slight issue with accommodating dogs. The location was ideal for exploring the Forest of Dean and enjoying the local countryside, offering various outdoor activities nearby. The dining experience was excellent, offering a wide range of delicious choices, but unfortunately, I missed breakfast due to the early hour. The facilities were great overall.

However, I did experience some roadworks inconvenience. The service was exceptional, with friendly and helpful hosts offering taxi numbers and ensuring a pleasant stay. The location was perfect for exploring Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds, as well as being near Clearwell Castle. The dining experience exceeded my expectations, especially catering to my vegetarian needs. Although the roadworks were a drawback, the overall value for money was great.
